My Story

About Me

Chik Wing Keung is a Hong Kong ultra-endurance athlete, community leader, and business executive. Chik started his running journey in the early 10s. According to his book "Perservance, Action, 100km Growth Journey" (2012), he believed "the moment for feeling exhaust and pain is a breakthrough." Chik has completed 6 times MDS Marathons des Sables at Sahara Desert. Remarkably, he ran his marathon at the Antarctic Ice Marathon in November 2014 and went on to complete the World Marathon Challenge - seven marathons on seven continents in seven days for two times (2017 and 2020). He achieved Grand Slam Club status by pairing the Seven Continents with the North Pole Marathon in April 2017, and earned a second Grand Slam in 2018 while guiding visually impaired runner Gary Leung Siu‑wai to North Pole Marathon.

Beyond personal achievement, Chik has led and mentored runners across abilities. In 2019 he captained a team of 20 Hong Kong runners, including athletes with autism spectrum disorder, underscoring his commitment to inclusive sport. In February 2020, he completed a seven‑continent running odyssey alongside his 13‑year‑old daughter Nicole, who ran seven 10km races in seven days—an inspiring father‑daughter project that began when schools closed during the coronavirus outbreak. In April 2023, he completed his fifth time MDS alongside his 17-years-old Nicole. In November 2025, he ran 1300km from Hong Kong, China to Guizhou, China to fundraise youth development and career planning in China as well as community service in Hong Kong.

Professionally, Chik has served as a regional director in the insurance sector (FWD), and he frequently speaks on resilience, balance, and goal‑setting.
